We were at the 2007 International Folk Alliance Conference when we first saw the Chocolate Drops and we were blown away. Featuring banjo, fiddle, and bones, they are keeping alive the tradition of African-American stringband music.

Our label, located in Takoma Park, MD, is a musician's cooperative; meaning that the artist run the organization and retain the rights and creative control over their music. The brain-child of Charlie Pilzer, Azalea City Recordings is home to some of the DC metro area's best and brightest Folk and Roots musicians.
